Why I'm standing

I'm standing to be our councillor to help shape a strong sustainable future for Christchurch, return to doing the basics well, and ensure we plan responsibly for both today and future generations. I want to ensure that we have proper funding for our core services and basic infrastructure. Alongside this, council must facilitate increased involvement and engagement between themselves and our community.

About me

I will be an active, accountable, independent and future-focussed voice at the council table. With my local charity leadership, experience working for New Zealand Parliament and studies in political science, I bring a strong understanding of policy and governance alongside a deep commitment to community engagement and transparency. As a practical, approachable voice for our Fendalton community, I will be focussed on real outcomes and what makes Christchurch such a great city to live in.

My priorities
  1. Return to doing the basics well – water, transport and footpaths – so that we get value for our rates.
  2. Stand against asset sales, keeping strategic assets such as the airport and port in our hands.
  3. Ensure proactive engagement between council and local communities so that all are actively involved.
