Why I'm standing

I am running because I see a growing disconnect between our community and the council. I talk to neighbours who feel ignored, and I am concerned by the rising cynicism and political stagnation this creates.

About me

I bring a different skillset to the table. My professional background as a data analyst and change manager is all about looking at complex problems, finding out what is actually going on using real evidence, and building practical solutions that work for the communities they impact. I am frustrated by decisions that are not backed by good reasoning and a polarised culture at the council table. That is why I am standing as an independent, to work with everyone.

My priorities
  1. Overhaul the public consultation process to ensure community feedback is heard.
  2. Create a consent process that manages growth responsibly to prevent unaffordable rate hikes.
  3. Implement rigorous, data-driven reviews of all council projects to eliminate wasteful spending.
