Eastbourne Community Board

The Eastbourne Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Lower Hutt City Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of five members. There will be no election this year because there are the same number of candidates as there are positions.

Why I'm standing

I believe community representation and advocacy is important, and in our board's case some continuity is needed, so I am re-standing.

About me

I believe that to be resilient a community must be informed, and those hardest people to engage or contact may be the most vulnerable. I try to empower people.

My priorities
  1. Help create a community that is prepared for and can respond to a variety of emergencies.
  2. Support developments that make the community more accessible to all, including youth.
  3. Develop recreational opportunities while maintaining community character.
