Gore District Council

Gore District At Large
The Gore District Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 11 councillors and the mayor. This election is for the three councillors elected by all voters in the district. The other councillors will be elected to represent wards (areas in the district). This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. I am running for Gore District Council because I care deeply about our community's future. After building my life, family and business here, I want to give back by ensuring strong decision-making and responsible investment in our district. I believe council should focus on core infrastructure, support sustainable growth, and explore innovative ways to reduce the burden on ratepayers. I will listen, collaborate, and advocate for practical solutions that strengthen Gore for generations to come.

I will make a good elected representative because I bring strong skills in property, finance and governance. My professional background gives me a clear understanding of how to manage assets wisely, balance budgets, and plan for sustainable growth. I have experience making sound decisions that weigh both short-term needs and long-term benefits. With this expertise, I will ensure the council invests responsibly, manages resources effectively, and delivers outcomes that strengthen our community's future.
