Why I'm standing

I served our city very well in the past as a councillor. I want to be of service again, but this time to the region where the issues including climate change response are arguably even greater.

About me

With an Honours Management degree and decades of international experience and at home, I offer a unique blend of skills in marketing, marketing research, stats, financial analysis, investment advice and strategic planning complemented by local government experience as a Whanganui District Councillor and RMA Commissioner. Former Mayor Main described my contribution in just one term as "immense." I'm committed to applying these skills to the significant challenges facing Horizons, bringing balance and an evidence-based approach.

My priorities
  1. Ensure adherence to the 10-year plan and its water-quality, flood management and climate change focus.
  2. Ensure fair treatment for all Horizons regions to achieve balance and equitability.
  3. Ensure farmers' obligations are reasonable and achievable in these increasingly challenging times.
