Why I'm standing

For 64 years, my home has been a place of peace, strength, and deep connection. I've raised children, watched grandchildren grow, and now welcome great-grandchildren into this whenua that holds our stories. I want them to feel its calm, know its beauty, and carry its legacy. This land is not just where we live—it's who we are. Let's protect it, cherish it, and ensure its greatness lives on through every generation.

About me

I am a husband, father, grandfather, and proud great-grandfather. As a Kaumatua, Catholic Minister, and community leader, I serve as a Trustee on the Hauora Hokianga Health Trust and Chairperson of a Hapu Charitable Trust. My whakapapa connects me to Te Rarawa iwi, and my hapū are Te Wai Ariki and Kai Tutae. With decades of governance experience, I remain committed to serving my whānau, hapū, and wider community with faith, wisdom, and aroha.

My priorities
  1. Restore roads, build resilience, engage locals, secure funding and monitor and maintain integrity.
  2. Partner with rural and Māori communities to deliver place-based resilience and access solutions.
  3. Empower communities to lead climate action and build resilience for a safer, greener future.
