Why I'm standing

I have served as a South Hokianga Community Board representative for the past three years and would like to use that experience to get some of the projects we have started across the line. I believe Hokianga is the best place in the universe and I would be honoured to keep bringing the voices of our people and the things that are important to us into this space.

About me

I work or volunteer in various kaupapa around caring for the people and Hokianga. These include getting kai to whānau, teaching people to grow food, supporting housing repairs and insulation, working for affordable, culturally and environmentally appropriate wastewater treatment, rangatahi programmes and environmental issues. I am on the Hauora Hokianga Trust, Te Mauri o te Wai, Rawene Volunteer Fire Brigade and Rawene Civil Defence. I listen to the issues brought to me and seek solutions.

My priorities
  1. Achieve zero human waste to water as there are affordable culturally and environmentally appropriate systems.
  2. Ensure safe accessible roads and whānau and communities prepared and supported in times of need.
  3. Ensure a fair share for Hokianga by bringing Hokianga priorities to the table and finding solutions.
