Martinborough Community Board

The Martinborough Community Board represents your local community and advocates to South Wairarapa District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of six members: four members elected by voters, and two members from the South Wairarapa District Council. There will be no election this year because there are the same number of candidates as there are positions.

Why I'm standing

I settled in Martinborough in 2017 after 12 years in Wellington with my husband. I find the warmth, generosity and creativity of this community inspiring. I want to help our community, listen and contribute by working alongside others to help it thrive as my young children grow up here.

About me

I co-own a small local business with my husband, which has given me insight into the opportunities and challenges of local life. My background in cultural diplomacy has strengthened my ability to listen and understand diverse perspectives. I care deeply about people, value our community's diversity and wish to dedicate my time to listening, engaging and working together for the good of the Martinborough community.

My priorities
  1. Encourage growth that meets local needs, protects nature and supports the community.
  2. Improve facilities and activities for all ages in the community.
  3. Support more ways for residents to share ideas and be involved.
