Why I'm standing

I am running for re-election for multiple reasons; to continue exercising realistic financial prudence while ensuring we don't kick the can for future generations to pay; to maintain quality core services; to plan for the future; to improve our communication across the organisation and be more customer-centric. Steady leadership builds strong community.

About me

I have a strong sense of community through my active involvement in voluntary community organisations including sport, health and education. I have used my previous governance training and experience to lead an effective council. I have served on council for six years as a councillor and three as the current mayor. I am approachable, hardworking and committed and am keen to make further progress on my achievements this term.

My priorities
  1. Prioritise the must-do projects, maintain quality core services and plan ahead.
  2. Improve connectivity in our towns to make them safer and accessible for pedestrians, cyclists and others.
  3. Continue building collaborative relationships that bring tangible benefits to our district.
