Why I'm standing

I am standing because I care deeply about the future of our rural communities. Kaimai East is growing, but many voices feel overlooked when decisions are made. I want to ensure people see council as approachable, responsive and connected to everyday life. My motivation comes from listening to families, farmers and community groups who want safe, thriving places to live. I believe strong local representation can bridge the gap between council and community.

About me

I will make a good elected representative because I bring integrity, consistency and a deep commitment to community. My background in governance, service delivery and volunteering has taught me to listen carefully, build consensus and act with fairness. I am well connected across rural and multicultural communities, and I value honesty, respect and collaboration. I believe representation is about being accessible, asking the right questions, and ensuring every voice has a place at the table.

My priorities
  1. Prioritise resilient rural roads, freight access and bus links to keep communities connected.
  2. Resource rural halls and sports facilities with fair utilities support to keep them affordable.
  3. Protect waterways and land through education, clean streams and eco-tourism opportunities.
