Why I'm standing

I am standing because I believe local voices matter and solutions should be shaped by the people who live here. Our whānau, hapū and community deserve strong representation at the council table. I want to ensure decisions are made fairly, with transparency, and with the well-being of our people and the environment at heart. My motivation is to serve, listen and work alongside others for a thriving future in Ōpōtiki.

About me

I will make a good representative because I am grounded in my community and have a strong record of service and leadership. I listen carefully, work collaboratively and stand firmly for fairness and integrity. My connections with whānau, hapū and local organisations give me a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in Ōpōtiki. I bring commitment, experience and the determination to ensure our voices are heard and respected at the council table.

My priorities
  1. Strengthen marae and community hubs to lead local resilience in emergencies.
  2. Keep rates fair and focus council spending on essential services only.
  3. Champion Māori ward leadership to ensure hapū voices shape council decisions.
