Ōtaki Community Board

The Ōtaki Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Kapiti Coast District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of five members: four members elected by voters, and one member from the Kapiti Coast District Council.  This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper. Why I'm standing

As a local resident, firefighter, business owner, and current Deputy Chair, I'm 100% committed to Ōtaki. Over the past three years, I've worked hard to deliver results: tackling anti-social driving with police, backing Vision Ōtaki, and helping locals into housing. I stand for community, commerce and connections. We have an incredible local community here in Ōtaki. My vision is to continue to strengthen community resilience, support local businesses and maintain our unique sunny Ōtaki culture.

About me

Having been the Deputy Chair of the Ōtaki Community Board for the past three years, I have had the pleasure of working with a great team to deliver some fantastic results for our community. With experience, passion and energy, I'll keep delivering for Ōtaki. Please give me your #1 vote.

My priorities
  1. Work with police to ensure proper staffing levels and support Kapiti Coast District Council bylaws for community safety.
  2. Ensure the community is prepared, connected and equipped for an emergency to improve community resilience.
  3. Ensure that Ōtaki can grow sustainably by improving infrastructure and facilities.
