Prioritise much earlier resolution to the dumping of semi-treated sewage into the Shotover River, managing it like the emergency it is.
Better support local businesses to build on inherent resilience to be better prepared for future significant emergencies together.
Encourage and celebrate water-use minimisation to reduce demand on overloaded infrastructure and new costs to residents and businesses.
Ensure open communication between council and the public on all matters related to sewage disposal.
Promote rubbish collecting volunteering days to help keep riverbeds and waterfronts clean.
Upgrade infrastructure to keep drinking water at a high standard.
Ensure an acceptable, functioning, compliant wastewater disposal system is put in place at the Shotover WWTP as soon as possible.
Oversee the setup of the proposed Water Services CCO to enable it to operate effectively and efficiently.
Put in place means to ensure wheelie bins are not left for extended periods on public land and do not obstruct footpaths when out.
