Why I'm standing

I'm standing because I care about Timaru's people and our future. Growth must be smart and sustainable, but always centred on people – why else would we do it? I want to protect what makes Timaru special: our community spirit, our services and our identity. Local government decisions need strong voices who listen, put people first and deliver.

About me

I've spent years running community projects and events in Timaru, sitting on boards, balancing budgets, solving problems and leading teams. What drives me is people – everything we do should make life better for our people. I listen and involve others, I take responsibility and I follow through. A wise mix of leadership, event management, innovation and community connection is what I'll bring to the council table.

My priorities
  1. Put people at the heart of all council decisions with services and facilities that build community.
  2. Deliver affordable rates, cut debt and any surplus assets to protect and keep services sustainable.
  3. Upgrade what matters: roads, water, transport and community facilities to protect people and future.
