Mayor of Waikato
The mayor is the leader of the council. Their job is to promote a vision for the district and lead the development of the council’s plans, policies and budget. The mayor appoints the deputy mayor, establishes committees for particular topics, and appoints chairs for those committees. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Why I'm standing
I've analysed and implemented needs of operational council for nine years, now completed my first term as mayor. I want to embed legacy of needed changes done first term for a fit-for-purpose organisation needed for our people for all our futures.

I'm a proven, effective, authentic, high integrity person who delivers equitably always for the people. JP and Judicial JP, a Lion and awarded community advocate and business owner and past business consultant. My life is for the service and better outcomes for our society and our peoples.
My priorities
- Bed in multi-changes instigated this term for best and effective outcomes.
- Oversee newly adopted road contracts and Three Waters Council Controlled Organisation finalised for cost and rates affordability and debt management.
- Increase voices of the people, continue to progress engagement and true collaboration, and build trust.
