Why I'm standing

I am standing to bring positive and sensible action to the table. I live, shop and advocate locally, and see the potential and diversity our area has to offer. I believe Papanui is an area with lots to offer its residents and our city at large. I want to work on implementing sensible, long-term, evidence based solutions to our local issues. Whether it is traffic, flooding or basic maintenance, I know we can do better.

About me

I am a high-school teacher, union member, local residents' association chair, and have been a board director in a national charity. I am a prominent local advocate for housing developments and transport infrastructure that benefits the community. The decade's worth of experience I have is how I plan to bring and amplify our community's voice in the decision-making process.

My priorities
  1. Fix roads and footpaths as these are in desperate need of improvement.
  2. Keep parks with more trees, new equipment and better maintenance because the community deserves that.
  3. Value money by keeping services high while spreading rates across new ratepayers.
