Why I'm standing

I am privileged to serve as a member for Linwood and board chair. I want to continue the work I have started with my colleagues Jackie Simons and Cr Yani Johanson. I am proud to represent our community – a place where people work hard and lend a hand when it is needed. I want to make sure we get a fair go and a better deal for the East.

About me

As your board chair, I have made good on the things I said I would do – getting trees planted, dealing with anti-social behaviour in our suburban villages, pushing to get the wastewater plant repaired and the organics plant moved, and securing funding to get the council focused where it is needed most. I will always stand up for the East and for a fairer, kinder and more equitable Christchurch, where everyone has a place and a voice.

My priorities
  1. Oppose the sale of public assets and the cutting of services like library and pool hours.
  2. Build on the Weaving the East project to improve the council's poor relationship with the East.
  3. Advocate for local decisions to be made locally rather than be imposed from outside.
