Waitaki District Council
The Waitaki District Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of ten councillors and the mayor. Councillors are elected to represent wards (areas in the district). two councillors will be elected from the Corriedale ward. There will be no election this year because there are the same number of candidates as there are positions.

Why I'm standing
I am putting my name forward because I care about the future of our roads, our infrastructure and the way we grow.
About me
I have experience in agriculture, technology, irrigation, compliance systems and in the non-profit sector. I have particular interests in health and safety and expertise in aviation. I see synergies between the role of councillor and my day job travelling the district talking to people.
My priorities
- Introduce collaborative planning to form the next district plan with local input.
- Ensure funds are available to replace assets so less debt is needed.
- Ensure the airport asset is restored and safely operated.
