Mayor of Westland
The mayor is the leader of the council. Their job is to promote a vision for the district and lead the development of the council’s plans, policies and budget. I believe our council has lost sight of the ability of ratepayers to pay and council has forgotten it should be all about people, people, people.
About me
I have a no-nonsense approach and am straight to the point, sometimes too straight; however, I get results.
My priorities
- Introduce a rate reduction to 5% or the rate of inflation.
- Get council back to just doing its core functions as nice to haves are just that.
- Use council staff rather than expensive consultants as we just cannot afford it.
