Why I'm standing

Under the current environment we are facing many challenges including a cost of living crisis, local government reform and anti-Māori policies. This impacts our ability to live affordably and to feel safe in our communities. It is critical that we have skilled, experienced people elected to council to ensure efficient and effective solutions for our people moving forward. I have been supported to stand again to continue my work for you and your whānau.

About me

I have proven leadership experience, networks and knowledge in our council, in our Māori wards and in the wider local government community. I am committed to continue the hard work that started many years ago to support our people to achieve their aspirations. Māori wards are Te Tiriti in action. I will uphold the mana of Te Tiriti in my mahi and continue to be in service to our people.

My priorities
  1. Continue to work in collaboration with funders, iwi and community to invest in housing.
  2. Work to retain Māori wards and representation in council.
  3. Support new initiatives that improve the economic situation for the region.
