Epsom electorate

Epsom covers central and eastern Auckland, including the suburbs of Remuera, Mount Eden, and Grafton. Act party leader David Seymour has held the seat since 2014, being re-elected in 2023 with a margin of 17,826 votes. National won the party vote in 2023 with 52%, followed by Labour on 15%. Since the seat was created in 1996, it has returned at least one list MP in every election.

Why I'm standing

We have to do better as a country for our children and grandchildren. NZ is the best country in the world, and we should have the best education, good job opportunities, strong public and healthcare services and warm stable homes for all who live here. Unfortunately, things are going backwards under this current Government and the cost of living is making it difficult for Kiwis to afford the basics. We can and must do better.

About me

I have been an MP for six years and during that time I have advocated strongly for a better New Zealand. I have been fortunate to have three members' bills pass during my time in Parliament and have another joint bill reported back from select committee. This is why I am standing for Parliament, to make a difference. Prior to entering Parliament I was a lawyer for over 13 years (NZ and England and Wales).

My priorities

  1. Tackling the cost of living: Kiwis are struggling in every electorate with the cost of living.
  2. Ensuring swimmable water in Hobson Bay Waitaramoa: sewage should not be released into our waterways.
  3. Supporting Auckland City Hospital to provide the quality healthcare Aucklanders deserve.
