Māngere electorate

Māngere is based in Auckland’s southern suburbs, including Māngere, Favona, and Māngere East. The electorate is held by Labour’s Lemauga Lydia Sosene, initially a list MP who was elected in 2023 with a margin of 17,297. Labour also won 61% of the party vote, followed by National with 19%. The electorate is one of the safest Labour seats in the country, with Labour’s party vote share not dropping below 60% since 1996.

Why I'm standing

Simple, we have left it to others in the hope New Zealand would be better off. It hasn't been. All successive governments have been abject failures. So rather than complain from the sidelines, I decided it was time to step up and do what should be done. I have the solutions and all I require is '1 Chance, 1 Term, 1 Time' - then problems solved!

About me

I was born, bred and raised in Mangere. I have seen it change over time. Not always in the manner to which we would like. I am the only candidate with the real-world experience and the backbone to deliver results that make your life better. Only you can decide whether you will break the trend of intergenerational voting and decide to put yourself in power - voting for me, will do exactly that.

My priorities

  1. Push for more money in the hands of the people. Affordability is the greatest issue we all face.
  2. Will re-connect our communities. We are all people. Race or colour, etc., should not divide us.
  3. Bring more industry and jobs to Mangere. Unemployment and low wages are a problem. That shall end.
