Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party
The Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party is a pro-drug reform political party. Its platform consists of drug related reforms to health, education, and the criminal justice system. Founded by current co-leader Michael Appleby in 1996, it has competed in 9 general elections, winning no seats. However, former candidates have been successful in other parties. Most notably Metiria Turei, who was co-leader of the Green Party.
