Port Waikato electorate
Port Waikato covers much of southern Auckland and north Waikato, including the major settlements of Pukekohe, Waiuku and Te Kauwhata. The electorate has been held by National’s Andrew Bayly since its creation in 2020, who is retiring this election. In 2023, the death of ACT party candidate Neil Christensen caused the candidate election to be cancelled, and in a subsequent by-election Bayly was elected with 76% of the vote (though New Zealand First was the only major party to contest the by-election). National won the party vote in 2023, with 50% of the vote, followed by Labour with 19%.

Why I'm standing
We deserve a future where everyone has what they need to thrive, where the health of our people and planet is put ahead of short-term profit, and where children can swim in clean rivers, listen to songs of our native manu, and trek through ngahere overflowing with life. Aotearoa has everything we need to make that happen, and a party vote for the Greens gives us the best chance at bringing that vision to reality.
About me
Being a good representative means strong and maintained connections to our community and the ability to listen to others. Throughout my career and volunteer mahi, I have built relationships with local businesses, community groups, public services, volunteer organisations, marae, and local government. My record of evidence-backed decision-making and experience across local government and leadership roles have prepared me to be an effective advocate and representative for our community.
My priorities
- Working towards affordable lives for all of us by taxing the rich & lowering power & grocery bills.
- Ensuring we can drink, swim, & fish in oceans and rivers & enjoy conservation land into the future.
- Making local voices heard in decisions that impact our backyard, e.g., land use planning & consenting.
