Aotea/Great Barrier Local Board

The Aotea/Great Barrier Local Board is one of 21 local boards in Auckland. The local board makes a plan for your area and decides on local issues, activities and facilities. It also oversees council services and facilities in your area, including libraries and parks. The local board is made up of five members. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Why I'm standing

I am standing for local board because I care a great deal about our island home and I want to help our community grow and prosper.

About me

I am a calm, honest and dependable person and my family has lived on the island for seven generations. For the past five years I have worked at the Aotea Learning Hub, supporting our local youth. I strongly believe in building towards making the future a better place.

My priorities

Support finding pathways and apprenticeships for our young people on the island.
Investigate options to build affordable housing on the island.
Build a new public cemetery for the central island.
