Why I'm standing

I believe Central Otago is a great place to live and I want to be responsive to local conditions, particularly what we need to do to mitigate climate change risks. I want to ensure we have vibrant communities to support the local economy and visitors alike. I want to ensure we protect our district for future generations.

About me

I have previous experience in event management and bring these organisational skills to my work in the community. I am currently the chair of the new Roxburgh swimming build, a $3m project. I have been a member of the Teviot Valley Community Board for two terms and understand the working of council. I have added to the vibrancy of the main street of Roxburgh by restoring the old general store and running a new business.

My priorities
  1. Educate ratepayers to divert waste from landfill to meet our long-term sustainability goals.
  2. Work to fill empty shops to create a thriving retail sector and encourage more local spend.
  3. Promote mountain biking parks to encourage multiple cycling experiences from one place.
