Why I'm standing

The Burwood Ward needs someone who's not afraid to challenge the status quo and can get stuff done – I've got a track record of that.

About me

I grew up in the east, trained as a lawyer and am mum to six grown-up children. I've spent my adult life getting stuff done for my community. From advocating on maternity, disability and mental health issues, to being a school board chair, Playcentre president, St John Youth leader, Community Law lawyer and District Health Board member. Currently, I'm deputy chair of my community board and have worked hard on a number of important community projects.

My priorities
  1. Regular community engagement via monthly clinics, so residents have access to their councillor.
  2. Safe roads and footpaths, infrastructure – extending Prestons Park Drive, flood remediation.
  3. Protecting community assets like libraries, pools and parks.
