Why I'm standing

I believe I have a lot to offer. A history of management, governance, public and community service. I served in the military, managed businesses managed the production of 40+ publications per week as pre press manager. I am currently on the board of trustees with Clutha Health Incorporated. I am also working part time at the new Countdown in Balclutha, learning even more new skills.

About me

I listen before I draw conclusions and can stand up against wrongs. I challenge where necessary not just towing the party line. I have no political affiliations but am firm in my beliefs. I served with the Royal Engineers, have been on the executive committees of two NZRSA clubs and held executive roles with JCI and Lions. Ran community education sessions in Central Hawkes Bay, funded by Council.

My priorities
  1. Appose Three Waters, hoping it is not too late to halt the theft of our assets.
  2. Improve rural roading. There are major defects in there construction, let's fix them.
  3. Encourage the development of accommodation for visitors to our town and offer incentives to build here.
