Why I'm standing

It was an opportunity, after years of telling myself I was all for the environment and patting myself on the back for separating the recycling, to actually do something. I'm putting my hand up, after too long, because I'm committed to being part of the solution, whatever that may look like.

About me

I'm here because I've spent my life honing the skills required to do this job. Interacting, listening, understanding, debating, disagreeing, resolving, empathising, collaborating and advocating. The list goes on. Hard work, commitment and relationship building have been the cornerstone of my 30 year career. I'll bring that same commitment to South Canterbury and its people.

My priorities
  1. Good water, a basic right for all New Zealanders. A necessity that's already impacting our region.
  2. Investigate possible/potential leeching from local refuse dumps into nearby streams and waterways.
  3. Awareness of Environment Canterbury. Many locals are uncertain about who we are, what we do and how we can help.
