Why I'm standing

Kāpiti needs a strong voice in Wellington, for the good of our communities and our region. We only have one councillor on Greater Wellington Regional Council – it's too important a vote to waste. As far as we are from Wellington City, we're often ignored by our bigger siblings. We need someone committed to Kāpiti but who also knows how Wellington works – I am that person.

About me

Living in Raumati, I have worked in a range of high-profile and high-pressure roles across the public and community sectors. I understand how Wellington works and have relationships I can use for Kāpiti's benefit. I have volunteered with a range of local groups, from Low Carbon Kāpiti to the Kāpiti Coast Chamber of Commerce, and have been appointed by the Minister of Conservation to the Wellington Conservation Board.

My priorities
  1. Be an accessible councillor, always making myself available to speak with local organisations.
  2. Improve our public transport for the whole district, including trains, scheduled and on-demand buses
  3. Support our environment by working with local groups, Kāpiti Coast District Council, Department of Conservation and others to help it to thrive.
