Why I'm standing

As a parent raising my family on the Kāpiti Coast, I'm committed to helping improve the degraded natural environment, and creating a community that provides opportunity and diversity for all. Improving public transport helps people get to their school, work, visit friends, participate in sport, and just go to places to have fun. I'm a person prepared to put my hand up to help make this community even better.

About me

I have proven I am a committed and effective elected representative; my 15 years in local government for the Kāpiti Coast speaks to that dedication. I've served my community on the Ōtaki Community Board, the Kāpiti Coast District Council (two terms), and for the past six years on Greater Wellington Regional Council. I have worked hard for my community, and succeeded in bringing change on my communities' behalf.

My priorities
  1. Secure government funding for new trains for Ōtaki.
  2. Deliver environmental restoration, to improve our natural environment and combat climate change.
  3. Expand council's flood resilience work in waterways across the Kāpiti Coast.
