I am standing to make a positive contribution to improve issues for our well-being and environment. This includes access to high-quality water, a dependable public transport network and keeping rates down, which have increased by 28% in the past three years. We need to stop unsustainable practices damaging the environment and adopt strategies to combat climate change.
About me
I have a real commitment to Hutt City, having lived in the city for most of my life, and I jointly own a business and property/apartment in the CBD. In my professional career, I have held chief executive and non-executive director positions. In my political life, I have been deputy mayor of Hutt City, a member of the Hutt Valley District Health Board and chair of the Wellington Region's Water Committee.
My priorities
- Review the public transport network to ensure we have an affordable and dependable network.
- Ensure Melling Interchange and Riverlink projects are progressed to improve flood protection.
- Ensure well researched and cost-effective policies are developed to combat climate change.
