Why I'm standing

I am motivated to serve my community in a new way, having led community groups working with regional council on areas such as water quality, biodiversity, climate change, and parks and recreation. As a father of primary school age children, I consider the decisions of today to be the legacy we leave them. I want them to inherit a stable climate, quality public transport, clean water and thriving nature.

About me

Mā te mahi tahi, ka piki kōtuku. Working together, we will thrive. I have fresh energy and a big heart for Lower Hutt. I lead community groups 'walking the talk' by cleaning-up and restoring our streams and forests. I have worked at the cutting edge of environment and climate policy and science for two decades. With your #1 vote, I can put you and our environment at the heart of council.

My priorities
  1. Climate change and transport choices.
  2. Clean water and good water infrastructure.
  3. Thriving nature, with rich bird life and happy people enjoying their environment.
