Why I'm standing

I am disappointed and frustrated at watching Wellington Regional Council continually fail to perform its core functions. I believe that Greater Wellington needs truly independent councillors – people that have no association with another council – past or present. The Greater Wellington Regional Council needs to exercise its authority over the environment in particular and I have been very disappointed in its performance over many years.

About me

Promoting Upper Hutt interests in the regional council would be a great privilege for me. I have passion for the outdoors and a pristine natural environment and as such have worked for two science research institutes. Public transport is also of intense interest for me, having driven public buses for a time. I will be a truly independent and a proud voice for the place I've been a part of for most of my life.

My priorities
  1. Greater Wellington to take its responsibility for the regions water resources.
  2. Greater Wellington to exercise its authority over those resources and prosecute city councils.
  3. Improve the bus network by improving driver and passenger health and welfare.
