Why I'm standing

Having served nine years as a councillor for Upper Hutt, I believe we need someone in the regional council that advocates for Upper Hutt and works with our city for the betterment of the region. Upper Hutt needs a successful Wellington Region to thrive. I want to be your voice around the table to help make that happen, and I have the experience and track record to prove that I can do it.

About me

The Wellington region has always been my home. Born and bred in the Hutt, I have served Upper Hutt as a local councillor for nine years, including representing Upper Hutt on a number of regional committees. Extensively qualified, I hold an Executive MBA and have pursued postgraduate studies in international security, sustainable development and disaster management. I want my kids to be proud of their region and to be a good ancestor to future generations.

My priorities
  1. Sustainable resilience. We must invest in long-term security to ensure better future preparedness.
  2. Delivery. We must do what we say, when we say we will do it. We must deliver our planned projects.
  3. Genuine growth. We need more housing and better infrastructure, but must get sustainability right.
