Why I'm standing

I have chosen to stand because Hutt City has not had a democratic debate or consultation on Three Waters Reform. Additionally, our council has become dysfunctional with threats of law suits and claims of defamation within the council leadership. There is also a lack of financial discipline which has lead to a 30% rise in rates in the past three years. It is time for community minded people to step up. I have done that.

About me

I am proudly born and raised in Hutt City. I have been a resident for 34 years. I have broad experience in the plumbing, construction and energy industries. This gives me the knowledge to understand the issues involved in Three Waters reform and also the opportunities that arise with de-carbonisation. I also understand the issues involved with housing intensification.

My priorities
  1. Restore financial discipline to stop excessive rates rises.
  2. Put people and decisions for Hutt City before party politics,
  3. Encourage further development of a healthy, vibrant culture to retain and attract council staff.
