Why I'm standing

I am running because I am passionate about the local community and ensuring that Kāpiti remains vibrant.

About me

Kāpiti is embarking on a period of major infrastructure renewal. I have over 30 years experience as a chartered civil engineer leading infrastructure projects in New Zealand and around the world. I would bring these skills to work within council to develop cost-effective, robust solutions and – as far as permitted – work closely with staff to ensure that the contractors get the work done.

My priorities
  1. In Paekākāriki get the seawall rebuild underway. No more delays.
  2. Gateway must stop, there is no requirement for a dedicated bio-security facility for Kāpiti Island.
  3. Plan for Kāpiti Airport to close within three years. Land ownership to be resolved and land reused.
