Malvern Community Board
The Malvern Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Selwyn District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of six members: five members elected by voters, including two members from your area, and one councillor from the Selwyn District council. There will be no election this year because there are the same number of candidates as there are positions. I am running to ensure public consultation leads to local decisions, for example, no to Three Waters.
About me
I am a construction engineer who has worked on major projects for over 40 years. Including Te Kaha and Lincoln University. I can bring this experience to support Selwyn's new facilities.
My priorities
- Allow the community to make its own informed decisions regarding the Three Waters legislation.
- Ensure that we implement the Rolleston flyover right the first time and that it is future-proof.
- Sustainable housing development to support our district's growth.
