Mayor of Napier

The mayor is the leader of the council. Their job is to promote a vision for the city and lead the development of the council’s plans, policies and budget. The mayor appoints the deputy mayor, establishes committees for particular topics, and appoints chairs for those committees. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Napier City Council mayoral election.

Why I'm standing

My children raised and schooled in Napier – two became permanent Wharerangi "residents" as teens. Other three left for University and never returned but have given me eight grandchildren. That and making use of my years of knowledge growth (as against MSM indoctrination) and desire to leave a better world for grandchildren inspires me to desire that better for everyone. 35 years Napier resident. Assess me online (since 2019) on my website.

About me

I have had a range of careers and legal, managerial and secretarial and community positions coupled with bouts of rural work (returning to my roots). All itemised on website. Have grave concerns where our democracy is heading and see one answer as decentralisation hence the need to bolster local democracy. In writing, local MP considers my views on the covid-19 vaccine 'dangerous and socially irresponsible'. Hence you may consider I am the person to lead against the elected central "dictators".

My priorities
  1. Practice being accessible to residents hence adoption of the wise "huddle" policy of 2019.
  2. Pursue my strenuous and informed objection to fluoridation. Bring Council with me if possible.
  3. Educate on 1935 policy of using Reserve Bank credit. Develop an informed citizenry thereon.
