Why I'm standing

I believe Ōtara is vibrant – oozing with talent and potential. It is a beautiful story of families with great aspirations, leaving their paradise homelands and papakainga, in search for better opportunities for their children. By no means is it a story that is finished. Ōtara has produced and will continue to produce our leaders of Aotearoa. I want our families and youth to reach their potential and thrive in this increasingly complex, ever-changing world.

About me

I am a proud Samoan, born and bred South Aucklander. I come from a working class family, and have been blessed by my parents' sacrifices to become a lawyer. I have extensive governance experience with private companies and community organisations. I have astute analytical and advocacy skills which I am honoured to continue to use to serve the Ōtara community. I am proud to represent Ōtara – the home of the brave!

My priorities
  1. Continue to advocate for council to honour its Te Tiriti obligations to Mana Whenua hapū and iwi.
  2. Push for equitable outcomes for Ōtara and South Auckland and for more investment and resourcing.
  3. Implement in the local board and advocate for council to meet the challenges of climate change.
