Why I'm standing

Ōtara is a vibrant cultural community. We have one of the lowest voter turn outs in all of Auckland. I believe candidates should be well connected to their communities so that they are able to truly help involve and connect our community to the local board and what it does as the decisions made by local board directly impact our community. I believe my depth of connection in our community is able to do that.

About me

I have lead several movements in Ōtara that are well known by the community and across social media. That mahi has enabled me to earn their trust. I have experience running local organisations, businesses and working grassroots with our community especially our local youth. I have sat in several governance roles but more importantly still live, work, pray and play here in Ōtara so understand our community and its needs inside out.

My priorities
  1. Continue to advocate for council to honour its Te Tiriti obligations to Mana Whenua hapū and iwi.
  2. Push for equitable outcomes for Ōtara and South Auckland and for more investment and resourcing.
  3. Transformation of the Ōtara Town Centre.
