Why I'm standing
I love the Petone Community Board area that covers a wide range of communities with varying needs and wants. I would love to be re-elected and continue to serve the wider community because I want to advocate for voices of our communities that I represent and engage with, particularly ones that I can currently see are missing out, for the benefit of the present and well into the future.
About me
Born and bred in Te Awakairangi ki Tai/Lower Hutt, I have spent my life living in Moera and Waiwhetū. I have a mix of experiences in various sectors; have been involved in governance for over a decade. I am super passionate about environmental and social justice; I enjoy bringing people together. I love this area continuing to work, volunteer and play here, and most importantly I am grounded in the community.
My priorities
- Community – ensuring our people have a strong voice at the table advocating and representing well.
- Collaboration – I am passionate about working with others and making sure real engagement occurs.
- Environmental resilience – making sure we have a great present, but also a secured future.
