Why I'm standing

I love Petone and the wider board area. I believe our area's character needs protecting while housing needs are addressed. Challenges of climate change need addressing. I would work with the board on reducing emissions and planning for low lying areas subject to sea level rise. I have worked for the Petone and Moera library upgrades to reflect community input. These upgrades need to happen now. I want our communities to be vibrant.

About me

I bring skills in policy (important to the submissions the board makes), community and youth development. I have lived in Moera for 15 years. I have two teenage children. I chair Moera Community House and am a current community board member.

My priorities
  1. Housing intensification central government has decided on reflects community input.
  2. Local communities are vibrant. Communities are resilient to climate and natural hazards.
  3. A cross valley connection reduces emissions, leads to a better foreshore and doesn't divide Moera.
