Rangitāiki Community Board

The Rangitāiki Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Whakatāne District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of seven members: six members elected by voters, and one councillor from the Whakatāne District Council.  This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Rangitāiki Community Board election.

Why I'm standing

I want to represent Te Teko for the Rangitāiki. "There is much work to do in the Rangitāiki and there is very little time to do it".

About me

I have been a representative of the Te Teko Residents Committee for over a year. I have worked in similar roles within community group, assisting where possible.

My priorities
  1. Establish bus shelters for children and adults. Te Teko fitted with first so far!
  2. Provide pedestrian crossing for Māpou.
  3. Picnic area at Te Teko bridge, includes path to Thornton and Whakatāne along the Rangitāiki River.
