Strong Voice For Our District

| Elected Member, Rangitīkei District Council

Why I'm standing

I love our district and I want us all to be proud to live in the Rangitīkei. I am committed to focusing on a progressive future for all in our district. It's about the people. I really enjoy connecting with the community. I know how important it is to actively listen and really understand different perspectives. I am a naturally curious person, who needs to understand the why. I am committed, I care and I'm local.

About me

I am committed, I care and I'm local. I was born and raised in Hunterville and I have been sheep and beef farming for the past 30 years. I have the business acumen required. I am a big picture, critical thinker who drives strategy formation and implementation. I listen, ask the hard questions and will make bold decisions if necessary. I'm a team player who has the experience, time and energy to be your advocate.

My priorities
  1. Revitalise our town centres so they attract prosperous, sustainable business and we want to be there.
  2. Prioritise reviewing our district plan to enable further subdivision and lifestyle blocks.
  3. Build resilience into our roading network as it is 45% of our budget.
