Why I'm standing

I love Rotorua and our people who make up Rotorua. I am concerned that democracy is being eroded by leaders who are not listening to our community's needs or wishes. I know I have the courage, and integrity, to speak out and stand up for people. I don't like bullies. I am also a solutions-focused person and believe our community has all the answers.

About me

I have been a long-time member of the local churches in Rotorua. Organising and volunteering at various community-iwi and cultural events. I am a teacher by trade, establishing a Christian preschool in Paengaroa, when my children were young and worked across the education sector as a primary/secondary teacher and now tertiary educator. I stood as a candidate for a Christian party at the 2020 elections and stand committed to freedom of religion for all.

My priorities
  1. Freeze rates and rent hikes. Our families and elderly are hurting from crippling costs.
  2. Stop Three Waters until the community is fully informed about what this entails and decides on the Bill.
  3. Relocate the homeless from outside Rotorua back to their cities. Reviving businesses in the CBD.
