Why I'm standing

I am excited to be standing for Featherston as a councillor. The South Wairarapa has many infrastructure challenges that need to be addressed. Featherston, however, has been neglected in these areas. I believe I have the skills to listen and represent all views to advance a change.

About me

My family has lived in Featherston for many years. I have been active in many community organisations and served for six years on the Featherston Community Board. I am committed to an affordable place to live and a healthy environment. It is great to see farmers adopting regenerative organic methods to reduce pollution. I would like to see the council promoting these measures. Especially around sewerage treatment.

My priorities
  1. Implementing a safe, longterm, waste water treatment plant for Featherston and all other towns.
  2. Re-negotiate opting out of the Three Waters. Consider local options like a combined Wairarapa body.
  3. Prioritise the upgrade of infrastructure starting with flooding, sewerage and roading.
