Why I'm standing

I believe with global weather changes, and increased financial pressures resulting from epidemics and the Russian war council needs people more than ever with business and community experience and appropriate competencies. I would enjoy giving back to the South Wairarapa community in which I have been involved with in business and not-for-profits for over 20 years.

About me

I have expertise in governance, strategy, planning, human resources and experience in senior roles (CEO, professor, partner) in both international and NZ organisations in many sectors. I have also experienced hard financial times, when being a student and solo mother and working as a kitchen hand etc. Therefore I would bring to council a breadth and depth of pertinent experience.

My priorities
  1. To see our vulnerable aged citizens in secure comfortable care and accommodation in our community.
  2. To achieve full benefits of our volunteer groups the council needs to work more collaboratively.
  3. Bring in efficiencies, such as shared services, to save costs.
