Local authorities are at the forefront of efforts to respond, with responsibilities for environmental planning and regulation, as well as civil defence. Establish a emergency disaster fund to enable fast response to adverse climate consequences.
Working more collaboratively with DOC to decrease costal erosion, South Wairarapa Biodiversity Group to do more estuary plantings.
