Why I'm standing

I am standing for a councillor position because I believe there is much work to do to enable and support our communities to thrive and survive. The next three years in local government are going to be both challenging and exciting at the same time. There will be significant changes – local government reform, Resource Management Act, Three Waters, roading and more. Council has to adapt and I think I can make a positive difference supporting this.

About me

I have nine years experience on the community board with four of these as chair. I am known for getting things done, for building connections and supporting a community led approach to leadership. I will bring my skills as a strategic leader, change manager and well-being professional to the role along with my personal and business experiences to support this. I am a leader, listener and communicator. Using these skills, everyone can work better together.
